Mandalas are geometric configuration of symbols, it usually contains bilateral if it has a central point of symmetry and radial summetry if it is around a central point as Mandalas usually are circles.
The term Mandala is a Sanskrit word which means circle, and it is popular among Buddhism culture. In various cults and traditions, Mandalas are used to increase focus attention of adepts, because it is consideree a guidance tool for the soul and its energy. It appeared during th 1st century BCE and as we said before it includes geometric patterns using different types of symmetry.
In this case we can see how the circle is divided into multiple parts, in each peiece the patterns does repeat and that is what makes a mandala so pleasant to look at because of its geometry and symmetry. The pieces can be bigger or smaller but the same drawings should be included in the parts. Dependinf on the number of divisions, the Mandala contains more details or bigger figures.
Another practice that is usually done with Mandalas is colouring them, this a very popular activity performed by a lot of different people. Adults and children can colour Mandalas depending on its level of detail and to achieve different feelings. most of them help focusing but some other also help relaxing, facilitating meditation, release good energy and try to attract good influences.
